SYDNEY: Two pilots were killed after two Robinson R22 helicopters collided in midair in Western Australia, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 6.20 a.m. on Wednesday near Mount Anderson Station in Camballin in Western Australia, some 120 kilometers south of Derby.
Police in their investigation suggested the two cattle mustering helicopters collided shortly after take-off.
Only pilots were boarding the two choppers, who “died as a result of injuries received during the crash,” said the police.
