JAKARTA: A helicopter carrying five people crashed on Indonesia’s resort island of Bali on Friday, injuring the pilot and four passengers, according to a senior rescuer.
The incident occurred at 2:37 PM local time in Badung regency, reported I Nyoman Sidakarya, head of the island’s search and rescue office.
Two persons sustained serious injuries, while three others suffered minor injuries. All were swiftly taken to RS Siloam Hospital, Sidakarya stated.
The flight was part of a tour in the area, Sidakarya added. The Bell helicopter, registered as PK-WSP and owned by PT Whitesky Aviation, was involved in the incident, as per a statement from the Indonesian transport ministry.
