TEHRAN, Iran: The Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah has confirmed its attack on the Israeli Air Force’s Ramat David airbase, which took place on Sunday.

In a statement, Hezbollah announced that its combatants targeted the base using dozens of Fadi-1 and Fadi-2 missiles. This operation is framed as a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and as retaliation against ongoing Israeli military actions that have resulted in civilian casualties in Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s attacks have intensified since early October, following a significant escalation in the conflict, particularly after Hamas’s operation against Israel on October 7. The Israeli military response has included a complete siege of Gaza, severely restricting access to essential resources like fuel, food, electricity, and water for over two million Palestinians.

Hezbollah’s latest action underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and highlights the group’s commitment to retaliate against what it perceives as unjust aggressions by the Israeli military. As the situation evolves, both sides remain engaged in a cycle of escalation, raising concerns about the humanitarian impact on civilians in both Lebanon and Gaza.
