High-Level Belarusian Delegation Arrives in Pakistan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Belarusian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Maksim Ryazanov, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday, marking the beginning of a key diplomatic visit aimed at strengthening ties between Pakistan and Belarus.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will also join the delegation on Monday to further deepen bilateral relations across a range of sectors.

The 75-member delegation comprises eight ministers and 43 business leaders, signalling a robust push for economic cooperation.

The delegation was warmly received by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Additional Secretary for Foreign Affairs Shafqat Ali Khan, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan.

President Lukashenko is scheduled to arrive on Monday on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The two leaders are expected to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration, particularly in trade and business.

According to the Foreign Office, President Lukashenko will engage in extensive discussions with Prime Minister Sharif, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties between the two nations.

During the visit, multiple agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed, further cementing the growing partnership between Pakistan and Belarus.
