Hot and Dry Weather Expected in Makkah During Hajj Days

RIYADH: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Wednesday predicted hot and dry weather conditions in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah during the upcoming Hajj rituals.

According to Saudi Gazette Report, the Meteorological Center expected that the climate condition of Makkah would change into relatively hot and dry during the daytime and moderate at night, and the average maximum temperature will be 43.6 degree Celsius and the minimum will be around 30 degree Celsius.

The NCM further maintained that the average wind speed would be between 4 and 10 km per hour in a north-northwestern direction, resulting dust storm, and leading to a decline in horizontal visibility.

Weather Forecast for Madinah

The Meteorological noted that the climate in Madinah is also expected to be relatively hot and dry during the daytime and moderate at night, and the average maximum temperature during the days of Hajj would be around 43 degrees Celsius and minimum as around 29 degree Celsius.

The center further predicted that the average wind speed would be 12 km per hour, while the wind would be active at times in a western to northwest direction with an increase in dust storm that might be led to a decrease in the horizontal visibility range.
