Hot Weather in Most Plain Areas, Rain Expected in Northern Regions

ISLAMABAD: The next twelve hours are expected to bring mainly very hot weather to most plain areas of the country, with a possibility of gusty winds or windstorms in some places during the afternoon.

However, there’s a likelihood of rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Pothohar region during the evening and night.

Here are the temperatures recorded in major cities this morning:

Islamabad and Murree: 22°C

Lahore and Peshawar: 31°C

Karachi: 30°C

Quetta: 16°C

Gilgit: 19°C

Muzafarabad: 23°C

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forecast predicts partly cloudy weather with chances of windstorm, rain, and thunderstorm during the evening and night in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Meanwhile, Jammu is expected to experience very hot and dry weather during the day, with chances of windstorm, rain, and thunderstorm during the evening and night.

Here are the temperatures recorded this morning in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir:

Srinagar and Baramula: 16°C

Jammu: 27°C

Leh: 7°C

Pulwama and Anantnag: 15°C

Shopian: 14°C
