ISLAMABAD: Hotels, in Washington D.C, began to offer a series of luxurious and exclusive VIP packages ahead of the inauguration of Donald Trump.
On January 20, Donald Trump, the president-elect is set to be sworn in on the Speaker’s Balcony, according to the Independent. It is going to be the start of his second term, followed by a week of inaugural festivities across the city.
In preparation for the event, hotels are charging tens of thousands of dollars from VIP guests who are coming to the inauguration.
Guests are offered room service for pets, and 24-hour butlers, followed by helicopter rides and shopping sprees.
$244,700 for four nights
Salamander DC is considered one of the most expensive as it charges a whopping $244,700 for a stay of four nights. It is within walking distance from the Washington Monument.
It launched a pet-friendly inauguration package that includes round-trip rides to and from the airport for a maximum of six guests. Their package also includes a 24-hour butler, food and drinks, and a hotel spa day.
Watergate Hotel package
Compared to the Salamander, the Watergate Hotel is presenting its inauguration packages with steep discounts. The hotel is expecting to attract guests with its three-night $73,500 package along with tax.
The luxury stay, dubbed the “Head of State” package, includes round-trip transportation to and from New York City by helicopter along with a daily executive chauffeur in an armored Maybach.
Visitors will be given a private whiskey tasting with the hotel’s “Whisky Consul,” stationery, a custom wax seal, and keepsake Watergate crystal.
Ahead of Inauguration Day, the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City is offering the Ultimate Inauguration Experience. The three-night stay in a luxury suite also includes a personal styling session, $500 wardrobe credit and a dinner for two at Sante.
$350,000 four-day package
The most lavish package, among all these, is the Fairmont in Washington which is positioned in the city’s affluent Georgetown neighborhood. The four-day package costs $350,000.
It also includes roundtrip airfare for four people along with their pet from anywhere in the US, a stay in the new presidential suite, two butlers, transportation to inaugural events, and meals.
Guests will be treated to a $25,000 shopping spree at Saks 5th Avenue. Moreover, hair and makeup are also available on-site. A photographer will be made available to guests throughout their visit to make sure they have memories of their stay.

Underwood is to perform before Trump takes the oath of office at the US Capitol on January 20, according to a copy of the inaugural program given to The Associated Press on Monday.
“I love our country and am honoured to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
“That is a primary goal of mine, to deliver a performance that can hopefully have that kind of effect and make people really proud to be a citizen of this great country,” Macchio said.
