One local, Amal Hussein stated that she saw “police vehicles surround” a school and also heard people screaming. Hussein Gomaa also stated that Police personnel came and ordered them to quit the school, and fired tear gas at them.

Hussein Gomaa further added that they were 770 displaced people who had fled the war in the country’s capital city Khartoum and were taking shelter in the school. Gomaa maintained that they didn’t understand why they were driven out of the school. According to Gomaa now they are out in the open with children and women.
