SRINAGAR: In another act of ongoing brutalities, Indian police have detained several innocent Kashmiris across the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) during the last few days.

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, these widespread arrests, conducted through house raids, are designed to instill fear among the Kashmiri people and compel them to renounce their affiliation with the ongoing struggle for freedom.

The police have escalated their operations in the territory since the appointment of R.R. Swain as the Director General of the force on Tuesday. Swain is known to have ties with the RSS and has been tasked with forcefully implementing the Hindutva agenda of the extremist Hindu organization.

Indian Forces’ So-called Search Operations in IIOJK

The individuals apprehended during these so-called search operations and house raids include Hurriyat leaders, activists, as well as children, minors, youth, women, and the elderly.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), based in Srinagar, issued a statement expressing grave concern about the ongoing wave of arrests in the occupied region.

They emphasized that Indian brutality cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ determination for freedom, and they will persevere in their struggle until it achieves its rightful conclusion. The APHC called upon the international community to take note of the state terrorism carried out by India in the occupied territory.

The Modi government faced criticism for its failure to ensure the safety of the Kashmiri people.”
