MADRID: Following elections results, Spain finds itself once again in a political deadlock, with no one party able to form a majority government.
Heading into the vote a right-win victory that would usher in a PP-Vox government was widely expected.
However, the voters defied analysts’ expectations, leaving Sanchez with a slim chance to hold onto power. “I don’t think anyone could have expected this result, but it is a result that reflects Spanish society, which is very ‘polyhedral’, it is multiple” says Leticia Soberon, a Madrid resident and psychologist.
