IAEA’s cooperation with developing countries
DG said that the IAEA had launched a global program “Rays of Hope” over a year ago, aimed at increasing radiotherapy facilities primarily in developing states.
He said that the project was aimed at bringing radiotherapy facilities for those who are without it.
He said that Pakistan has top facilities in NORI and outstanding professionals to cure cancer patients. The hospital is equipped with the latest technology.
Grossi said that cancer is one of those diseases which are heavily affecting the largest population globally. IAEA is trying to remove such imbalances to improve healthcare facilities around the world.
