ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent the Champions Trophy 2025 from Dubai to Islamabad, a day after the global cricket governing body promised a “thrilling competition” in a statement.
Pakistan is set to host the eight-nation event — the premier ODI competition after the World Cup — in three cities: Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi, from February 19 to March 9 next year, according to the ICC’s timeline.
According to local media reports, the trophy tour will take place from November 16 to 24, with planned stops in Murree, Hunza, Muzaffarabad, and Skardu.
The tour will begin on November 16 in Pakistan’s picturesque Skardu Valley, with additional stops in key cities that will host tournament matches.
A major highlight will be the trophy’s symbolic visit to the K2 Base Camp before concluding the tour on November 24.
Get ready, Pakistan!

Yesterday, the ICC released a promotional video for the Champions Trophy 2025, confirming Pakistan as the tournament host.
The video came just days after the ICC informed Pakistan that India had declined to send its cricket team to the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, prompting Pakistani authorities to rule out the hybrid hosting model used for last year’s Asia Cup.
The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa.
