KARACHI: A six-member delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) will arrive in Pakistan tonight to inspect Pakistan Cricket Board preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025.
The delegation will include event organizers and security personnel. Their visit will focus on inspecting the National Stadium Karachi and reviewing the transportation routes between the stadium and the team hotels.
Following their visit to Karachi, the ICC team will also travel to Islamabad and Lahore to continue their assessment of the arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Earlier this year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) allocated Rs 12.80 billion for the upgrade of three key venues: Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Stadium in Karachi, and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium. These venues are set to host the ICC Champions Trophy from February 19 to March 9, 2025.
The tournament will feature two groups: Group A will include Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B will consist of Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
