LAHORE: A top delegation of the International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to Pakistan in the coming days to assess the country’s preparations for hosting the 2025 Champions Trophy.
According to local media reports, the ICC team will arrive within the next 10 days to inspect key facilities and ongoing upgrades at stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
This top-level delegation visit will determine Pakistan’s readiness to host the prestigious tournament, marking its return to global cricketing events after a long hiatus. PCB officials are expected to provide updates on the construction progress at these venues.
The delegation is also anticipated to meet with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and receive briefings on accommodations and security arrangements for visiting teams.
The PCB has assured that all upgrades will be completed by December. The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held across Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi in February and March of next year.
