DUBAI: The forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup in 2024, scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 29, will be the largest in history. The tournament will feature 55 matches across nine cities, including three in the USA and six in the Caribbean. The USA will host a Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time in cricket history, with New York and Florida chosen as the venues for the event.

To ensure a fair distribution of tickets to fans for this grand T20 event, the ICC has introduced a public ticket ballot system. Unlike a first-come-first-served approach, all applicants within the seven-day window have an equal chance of obtaining tickets.

To ensure a fair distribution of tickets to fans for this grand T20 event, the ICC has introduced a public ticket ballot system. Unlike a first-come-first-served approach, all applicants within the seven-day window have an equal chance of obtaining tickets.

During the ballot period, which runs until 23:59 Antigua Standard Time on February 7, 2024, fans can apply for up to six tickets per match and for as many matches as they desire.

Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events, expressed excitement about the ticket launch, stating, “The ticket ballot process will give all fans from across the world an equal opportunity to get their hands on tickets.”

ICC Sets T20 World Cup 2024 Ticket Prices Starting at $6

Tickets are reasonably priced, starting at $6 and going up to $25, to ensure accessibility for a wide range of fans. After the ballot concludes, any remaining tickets will be available for general sale on February 22 at tickets.t20worldcup.com.

Successful applicants will be notified via email about the matches for which they secured tickets, along with payment links. Failure to complete payment within the allotted time will result in tickets being released for general sale on a first-come, first-served basis.

The confirmed starting times for all matches are available, including adjustments to the schedule to accommodate travel time for teams reaching the final.

Cricket West Indies Chief Executive Johnny Grave and Chair of T20 World Cup USA, Inc. Peter Hutton both expressed enthusiasm about the ticketing process and the upcoming event. Grave emphasized the commitment to fairness and inclusivity, while Hutton highlighted the historical significance of hosting the event in the USA, anticipating the sport’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

“Hosting this event in the US is a watershed moment for cricket in this country,” said Hutton.
