DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled an electrifying official promo for the Champions Trophy 2025, featuring cricket stars like Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and England’s Phil Salt in a wrestling-inspired, high-octane sequence.
Drawing inspiration from the action-packed aesthetics of the Mission: Impossible film series, the promo showcases teams in a high-stakes race to claim the coveted Champions Trophy in a thrilling scenario.
The video started with Shaheen and Shadab embarking on a mission to claim the prestigious trophy, with India’s Hardik Pandya also featuring.

The high-energy video clip captures the excitement and intensity leading up to the tournament, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9, 2025, in Pakistan and UAE.

Meanwhile, an issue arose when reports surfaced saying that India would not wear jerseys for the tournament featuring Pakistan’s name. However, this matter was swiftly resolved.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed to the Press Trust of India (PTI) that India would comply with ICC regulations and feature Pakistan’s name on their Champions Trophy jerseys.
