ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police (ICP) and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section (INL) have formalized their collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation and enhancing the operational capabilities of the police force.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), and the Director of INL at the Central Police Office in Islamabad. Senior police officers from Islamabad Capital Police and officials from INL attended the signing ceremony.
As part of the agreement, INL is committed to providing extensive support to augment the operational capacities of the Islamabad Capital Police. The collaboration also entails INL assisting the police force in resolving any technical challenges that may arise during operations.
Before this formal partnership, INL had organized various training courses to enhance the skills of the wireless staff within the Islamabad Capital Police. Additionally, technical assistance was provided to improve the communication systems utilized by the Islamabad police further. —APP
