IHC for Security Arrangements Ahead of Imran Khan’s Court Appearance

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court registrar’s office has issued a circular directing the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration to make security arrangements during the court appearance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and former prime minister Imran Khan on March 21

According to the circular, lawyers and journalists will be allowed to enter courtroom number-1 through special passes. According to it, 15 lawyers will be allowed to enter the courtroom with Imran Khan.

According to the circular, 10 lawyers from the office of the Attorney General for Pakistan and Advocate General Pakistan will be able allowed into the courtroom. The circular said that 30 journalists of the Islamabad High Court Journalists’ Association will be allowed to enter the courtroom.

According to the circular, special passes will be issued to enter the courtroom, for which lists of names have been sought to be provided to the registrar’s office by March 20.

The IHC registrar’s office has directed the ICT administration not to stop those holding special passes and department cards from entering the court premises.

According to the circular, people with special passes will be allowed to enter courtroom number-1.

Imran Khan’s bail plea in an attempted murder case will be heard on March 21 at 2:30 pm.
