LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted bail to Parvez Elahi, the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Chief Minister of Punjab in a case involving alleged unauthorized appointments.
Elahi, accused of involvement in unlawful hirings in the Punjab Assembly, appeared before Justice Shehram Sarwar to present his defense.
As per information disclosed by a spokesperson from ACE, Elahi orchestrated 12 unlawful recruitments for grade 17 positions within the Punjab Assembly. These recruits were installed into provincial assembly roles through the manipulation of records.
Today, Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhary heard the case while Advocate Amir Saeed Rawn and Farman Munis appeared as Elahi’s lawyers.
