Imam-e-Kaaba Urges World to Play Role in Halting Massacre in Palestine

ISLAMABAD: Imam-e-Kaaba Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid said on Thursday that the killing of human life was forbidden in Islam, Muslims were being massacred in the name of human rights in Gaza, Palestine. The global community should respect the sanctity of human life and it must act to stop the serious crimes in the conclave.

He expressed these views during a special address at the international conference on “Protection of Human Life in Shariah and Law” organized at the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Faisal Masjid Campus.

The Imam-e-Kaaba said that the massacre of innocent Palestinians in Gaza Strip was the darkest period in human history.

Dr. Saleh said that he prayed for the end of the cruelty against the citizens of Palestine.

He further said that Islam special attention to the sanctity of human life. In Islamic Shari’ah, human life had special place without distinction of belief.

Referring to the sanctity of human life, Dr. Saleh said that Islam strictly prohibited the murder and there was a promise of hell for those who kill a human for no reason.

He emphasized that educational and research institutions of Muslim nations should focus on mutual cooperation.

The Imam-e-Kaaba said that Pakistan was a hospitable country and its people were loving. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have deep-rooted historic relations.

Speaking on this occasion, Caretaker Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi said that the whole of Pakistan was thankful to Imam-e-e-Kaaba for his visit.

The minister said that the youth had the ability to change the Muslim Ummah’s destiny.

Highlighting the situation in Palestine, he said that today, the Muslim Ummah was saddened by the plight of Palestine.
