IMCTC Sec-Gen Commends Iraq’s Efforts in Fight Against Terrorism

RIYADH: Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi has commended the ongoing efforts of Iraq in its fight against terrorism and extremism, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

He expressed these remarks during a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Defence, Thabet Muhammad Al-Abasi, and his accompanying delegation at the IMCTC headquarters.

During the meeting, a presentation was given on the progress and achievements of the IMCTC in fighting terrorism across various domains, including media, financial, intellectual and military aspects, where the presentation focused on efforts to coordinate and boost global collaboration among member states. Al-Moghedi commended Iraq’s ongoing efforts in its fight against terrorism and extremism.

He added that the IMCTC is fully committed to supporting member states affected by terrorism, noting that membership of Iraq in the IMCTC, alongside 42 allied nations, benefits both Iraq and the coalition by facilitating the exchange of international expertise and intensifying efforts in the fight against terrorism.
