LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday admitted that he was powerless and someone else pulled the strings of power during his government.

If I had been given control of even half of my due power, I would have even defeated a formidable commander as Sher Shah Suri”, he said while talking to journalists in Lahore.

Ex-premier said that society could flourish only if there was true rule of law.

Later in a rally in Sharaqpur, Imran Khan severely criticized the government and said that the rulers appoint NAB and FIA heads only to save them, they don’t want to end the scourge of corruption. They would not let the state institutions be strengthened.

“I never favored anyone during the three and a half years of my government neither I want judges nor army chief of my choice, but want to bring people on merit who will strengthen the institutions,” he claimed.

Lambasting at the government he said that the incumbent government’s economic policies were flawed  that will result in more unemployment.

He urged the voters in Sharaqpur to support his party to bring a “real change in the country”.
