ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday claimed that the police and law enforcement agencies were all set to either kill him or arrest and transport him to Balochistan when he appeared before a trial court in Islamabad on Saturday.

Addressing via video link after Saturday’s “high drama” as chaos erupted at his Zaman Park residence and at the Islamabad Judicial Complex where he appeared before a sessions judge in the Toshakhana case, Imran Khan has claimed that he was not called to appear in Islamabad but to be killed there or taken to Balochistan and imprisoned until the elections. “It should be confusing, but the people failed all these plans,” the PTI chief maintained.

Imran Khan said that these people are afraid of the election and are scared that if Imran Khan returns to power, what will happen to them. He said that they know that even during the PDM government, PTI won 30 out of 37 seats in by-elections.

Imran Khan said that “When I went to the Islamabad Judicial Complex for an appearance, the police came from behind at my house Zaman Park and at that time, only Bushra Begum was there who has nothing to do with politics.”

“Today, I ask army and police officers what would happen to you if your house was raided because no honorable person could bear it,” he asked.

Imran Khan announces power show at Minar-e-Pakistan on Wednesday

Imran Khan announced a political power show at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore, on Wednesday.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI had the same plan to hold the “historical” public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 19 (today), but the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday barred the PTI from holding the Lahore rally.

Meanwhile, PTI approached the Lahore district administration seeking permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on Wednesday.

PTI leader Hammad Azhar and PTI’s lawyer’s wing submitted an application seeking security clearance to Deputy Commissioner Lahore. “The party intends to hold a political rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, and the same matter had also been raised before IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar and Punjab Chief Secretary,” the application reads.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had stopped the party from holding the political rally due to security concerns, followed by the rejection by the district administration.
