LAHORE: The man accused of shooting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, Naveed, underwent a polygraph test on Tuesday, but the results could not prove that his statement was fabricated.

The test report was sent to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) looking into the attempted assassination. According to the officials the forensic science laboratory sent the test record to the JIT without adding its opinion to it and labelled it with “No Opinion.”
Suspects other than Naveed also took the polygraph examination. According to the results of the test, Naveed’s claim that he committed the attack on his own without receiving any orders to do so was supported by his statement.
