ISLAMABAD: A special court on Monday issued orders, allowing former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to have a telephonic conversation with his sons till 15 September.

A hearing was held on the petition of Imran Khan against the Superintendent of Attock Jail in a special court established under the Official Secrets Act, a local TV reported on Monday.

Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain ordered the superintendent of jail to let the PTI chief have a phone conversation with his sons, ensuring the implementation of court orders in all circumstances.

Imran Khan’s Petition

It is to be noted that the PTI chief has filed a contempt of court petition against the Attock Jail superintendent, in which he stated that despite the court orders, the superintendent jail did not allow him to hold a meeting with his son via telephone.

In the petition, it was requested that the court should summon the Superintendent of Attock Jail in a personal capacity and that contempt of court proceedings should be initiated against him.
