LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz has said that not only Imran Khan but his facilitators were responsible for the current economic crises in the country, adding that the journey of Pakistany’s progress and development would resume once again from where it was left in 2017 during Nawaz era. She said that it would happen soon after party supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would return to the country and led the party and nation again for the resolution of all issues.
Addressing a workers’ convention in the context of the Labour Day here on Monday, she said that a conspiracy, through which the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was removed on the basis of an ‘Iqama’, had been exposed to the nation now. She said that now the reality was known to all, and some elements wanted to bring Imran Khan into power; hence a conspiracy was hatched to oust Nawaz Sharif in 2017.
Maryam Nawaz said that was a conspiracy against Pakistan, as the country suffered more due to the removal of Nawaz Sharif from hi seat. She said that during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif, the country was making significant progress as the economy was on the revival path where scores of projects were being launched under CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor), roads infrastructure and power projects were being completed at a rapid pace, inflation was going down, terrorism had been eradicated, and several other milestones were being achieved during the said tenure.
She said it was unfortunate that some judges ousted Nawaz Sharif for not taking a salary from his son, but it was even tragic that it had become difficult for these judges to review their unjustified decision and provide justice to the then prime minister, as per the Constitution and law.
She further said that aid Imran Khan wanted to destabilise the country and halt the economic process just to fulfil his political agenda, adding that some elements were also backing him in achieving his goals, as they were also involved in the dirty game while looting the country.
hile bashing Imran Khan, she said that instead of taking out a rally for labourers Imran Khan should stop his conspiracies against Pakistan and refrain from sabotaging the democratic and economic revival process, which would help to change fate of the labourers.
She recalled Imran Khan’s long march and his protest against the PML-N government in 2014 failed as the masses rejected his agendas and politics of agitation. But, then some elements came forward to save him and bring him to power after ousting Nawaz Sharif.
Facilitators of Imran Khan Responsible for the Current Crises
She said that Imran Khan and his facilitators were responsible for all the chaos and crises, including ongoing economic crises, being faced by the country today, adding that now once again, Imran Khan’s long march, protests, court arrest campaign and other designs against the current government failed, some elements in the judiciary come forward again to protect him.
The PML-N senior leader said Imran Khan’s negative politics had been badly exposed before the masses and rejected him as they knew that it was only Nawaz Sharif who, in the past, made sincere efforts to take the country into a stable position.
While gesturing to the son of Saqib Nisar, she said that the recent audio leaks appeared in the media had proved that PTI’s tickets were being sold to candidates adding that these elements wished to keep Nawaz Sharif out of the upcoming general election, but it was not possible as the people in the country supported the vision of Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, addressing the workers, Maryum said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, despite the tidy economic situation, took the minimum monthly wage to Rs 35,000, adding that labourers were a real asset to the country, who played a crucial role in the development of the country.
