ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated that he informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) about individuals who intend to harm him.

The statement was made on Thursday. Khan has also claimed that his government held discussions with the Afghan government to finalize the procedure for the return of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) affiliates.

He further added that the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan had been anticipated by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

Imran Khan expressed concern about the increasing number of cases filed against him, stating that the number may reach two hundred. He also criticized former Army Chief Qamar Bajwa, who stated in briefings that the military’s tanks were out of fuel.

Additionally, Khan reported that he had provided a response concerning his London flat, while Nawaz Sharif was apprehended based on his property.

Khan also stated that the reference against Justice Qazi Faez Isa was sent by someone above Faiz Hameed. He claimed that while they were told that Justice Isa would face accountability as the law is equal for all, the actual purpose of the reference was different.

Imran Khan desires good relations with US

In another informal conversation with journalists in the courtroom, Khan expressed a desire for good relations with every country, including the United States (US).

However, he stated that they did not want to be enslaved. Khan submitted the names of five suspects who posed a threat to his life to the Lahore High Court (LHC).

Regarding Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s visit to India, Khan questioned whether the Kashmir issue had any significance for the PPP chairman.

He stated that PTI wanted to be friends with everyone and establish good relations with America, but not at the cost of slavery.
