Imran Khan to Address Students on Their Role in Nation Development Today

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan will be addressing the students across the country via video link today (Thursday).

The address is part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) campaign which also seeks the inclusion of the students in the political movement. The address has been scheduled to be taken place via video link across the country at 12 noon. The address will be screened in educational institutions.

Students’ role in nation development 

Imran Khan will address the students of the 29 major universities and colleges in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The political party has completed preparations to screen Imran Khan’s address regarding the students’ role in the nation’s development.

It is to mention here that the former premier has announced to unveil date for dissolution of the provincial assemblies in a key gathering in Liberty Chowk Lahore on December 17. Khan has taken a firm stand on the dissolution of provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa being ruled by his political party, in December. The PTI chief held an important session with the party’s senior leaders to end the confusion regarding the PTI’s stance on the dissolution of the assemblies. According to the party sources, the PTI senior leaders have suggested dissolving the Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assemblies on the same day.

The PTI chief said that he has received opinions from all party leaders in this regard. Imran Khan had made it clear many times that the assemblies will be dissolved in the running month (December). He said that PTI will organise a gathering at Lahore’s Liberty Chowk on December 17 in which he will make the announcement. Khan further said that around 125 PTI MNAs will appear in the National Assembly to announce their resignations hoping that the move will pave way for the elections on 70 percent of the national assembly and provincial assembly seats collectively.
