LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday warned that the country will enter default without the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.

Addressing a press conference, Imran Khan also warned the nation of the looming new wave of inflation. He said that the incumbent government has no option other than to approach the IMF.

Pakistan to enter default if it did not approach IMF

PTI Chairman said if the government did not approach the IMF, Pakistan will default. He said that he wanted to give a message to the nation on the eve of the New Year, that about 750000 Pakistanis have left the country to find income sources in other countries. The people should fight the crisis instead of leaving Pakistan in a difficult time.

He said that Japan and Germany had also faced tough times but they bravely fought the difficulties and came out of crises.

Khan urged the nation to bravely face difficulties and fight the challenges.

Criticizing the government, he said that “thieves” have been imposed on the country and they want to stop him from bringing real change.
