ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has rejected the claims that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek -e-Insaaf was arrested for political vendetta.
The court ordered the arrest of Imran Khan in Lahore on Saturday sentencing him for three years for misstatement in his tax returns.
Addressing the Press conference the information minister said the chairman PTI was arrested on violation of Election Act Section 174.
Chairman PTI gave false information in his returns form submitted in Election Commission of Pakistan, she added.
