These bombs were thrown at the house where the wedding ceremony was held. According to the police, “Last night in Mominpara, a conflict broke out between a group of people from a wedding party and the villagers protesting against the music played at the party. A group attacked each other with 4 to 5 bombs; 5 captured.”
A large security force was deployed there. A political row erupted after the incident when the Bharatiya Janata Party blamed the ruling Trinamool Congress in the state.
“Several blasts and blast recovery have taken place in Bhatpara-Jagaddal belt under Barrackpore division in North 24 Parganas district with TMC involvement in every incident,” BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar told reporters.
