In Presidential Elections of Uzbekistan Voter Turnout Likely Over 50%

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: Turnout or voter population ratio in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan reached 52.16%, Trend reported.

The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan announced that more than 10.05 million people voted at the ballot box.

Polls open at 8:00 am local time. A total of 10,784 voting centers, including 56 ballot boxes in 39 countries outside of Uzbekistan, started to operate.

Our citizens have the opportunity to vote as of 20:00 local time.

The total number of voters eligible to participate in the Presidential elections is approximately 19.6 million.

According to the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan, from June 28 to July 1, 376,623 citizens of the countries participated in the early voting. After April 30, 2023, Law Amendment the tenure increased the term of office of the president from 5 to 7 years.
