Tour de France: The battle between two-time winner Tad Jay Pogakar and reigning champion Jonas Wengegard will play out as the background as the group climbs the dormant Mount Dom volcano on Sunday.

Days after star sprinter Mark Cavendish’s accidental farewell tour, the drama has turned into a desired and long-awaited destination.

Pogacar said he thought time would “break” on Saturday, while his Danish teammate said he had never raced on an incline like this.

The venue is marked as the top stage of the Tour de France due to its historical background, with a 13km downhill route rising at 4km with a 12% gradient. The 182km race begins at Saint-Leonard de Noblat, where one of the Tour de France’s favorite sons, Raymond Poulidor, is buried.

Pulideau never won the Tour de France, finishing second three times and third five times. The competed with Jacques Anquetil in 1964, Jacques Anquetil failed to go head-to-head but won his fifth Tour de France that year.

No fans or vehicles are allowed in the weak, high-altitude Puerto Dome where players will be exposed to the elements.

Vingegaard debuted the all-leaders yellow jersey, with Pogacar second in the best junior white jersey 25 seconds ahead of the 2020 and 2021 champions Pogacar.

Everything is ready, visibility is very good, we hope to see fireworks on the way.

“It will explode in Puerto Dom,” predicted Pogacar. Passenger will also have to contend with the heat. “Hot weather suits Jonas and slopes better,” ex-driver Michael Rasmussen told AFP. Episode might take about 30 seconds of Pogacar, not much. Part I got on yesterday but they didn’t let me go the last 4km, we took a small train and it was beautiful and the view was magnificent.

This volcano is a World Heritage Site and Tour de France officials have long thought of a way to bring it back to the guide.

Episode: “It coincides with our desire to give back the mountains to the winners,” said Christian Prudhomme, the leader of the race.

Episode: “We have many feelings because it’s a dream we’ve had in our head for years.”

Prudhomme did not forget the stories surrounding the scene about the struggle between the two main actors.

“The duel is good for the Tour de France, it adds excitement.

“The Tour de France will be held in Puerto Rico for the first time in 35 years.
