SRINAGAR: The BJP-led Indian government has dismissed six more Kashmiri employees in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, those terminated include five policemen and a teacher.

The dismissed employees are head constable Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, constables Khalid Hussain Shah, Rehmat Shah, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, Saif Din, and government teacher Nazim Din.

The New Delhi-appointed administration in IIOJK removed these employees on allegations of having connections to the freedom movement.

This move is part of a recurring pattern targeting Muslim staff in the occupied region.

An Indian official revealed that the administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, used Article 311 (2) (c) of the Indian Constitution to dismiss the employees.

This provision prohibits the terminated employees from contesting their dismissal or seeking redress from any department.

This action is part of a concerning trend under the Modi administration, which has seen numerous government employees in IIOJK dismissed on similar grounds.

The dismissals are widely viewed as part of a broader strategy by the Indian government to remove Kashmiri Muslim personnel from government positions and replace them with Hindutva supporters.
