ISLAMABAD: In yet another heartwarming cross-border love tale, an Indian man and a Pakistani woman have tied the knot online, overcoming visa-related obstacles that could have otherwise kept them apart. The virtual wedding, complete with all traditional rituals, took place on Wednesday, uniting the couple despite the geographical divide.

The love story of Arbaaz, a resident of Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, and Ameena, hailing from Karachi, Pakistan, has captured attention on social media, following the recent trend of inter-country marriages between India and Pakistan.

Due to unforeseen delays in obtaining an Indian visa, Ameena was unable to travel to Jodhpur for the wedding ceremony. However, the couple was determined not to let distance be an obstacle in their path to matrimony. With the help of technology, they organized a special online Nikah, where all the traditional wedding rituals were performed virtually.

A Qazi solemnized the marriage, and during the online ceremony, the bride, Ameena, responded with a resounding “Qabool Hai,” symbolizing her acceptance of the marriage proposal.

Arbaaz’s father, Mohammad Afzal, a contractor residing in Jodhpur, shared his joy in witnessing the unique wedding, which brought together the two families through a video conference. The families of the bride and groom actively participated in the online rituals, connecting them across the border.

Due to the success of their virtual Nikah, Ameena’s visit to Jodhpur is now being planned for the near future. The families are looking forward to welcoming her in person, and both sides are excited to celebrate the union in Jodhpur, where they have relatives.
