NEW DELHI: At least six Kashmiri civilians were killed during Indian troops operations in the Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), according to police inspector general Vidhi Kumar Birdi.
The operations, carried out in Kulgam district’s Modergram and Frisal Chinnigam villages, resulted in civilian casualties.
Birdi confirmed the retrieval of bodies—two from Modergram and four from Frisal Chinnigam—underscoring the ongoing brutalities in the region.
This escalation marks a troubling trend amid renewed violence in the disputed territory.
