MIRPUR: leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) have said that India is not a democratic state but rather a Hindutva terrorist state and a colonial power.

Statements from APHC-AJK leaders, including Muhammad Sultan Butt, Imtiyaz Wani, Shaikh Yaqoob, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed Shah, and Syed Aijaz Rehmani, said that a country depriving Kashmiris of their democratic and fundamental rights has no legitimacy in celebrating its Republic Day.

The leaders highlight India’s expansionist ambitions as a serious threat to regional and global peace. They criticize the Narendra Modi-led Indian government, backed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), for its efforts to suppress Kashmiris, imposing the Hindutva agenda and waging a war against minorities, particularly Muslims, within India.

Describing Indian Republic Day as a Black Day for Kashmiris, the APHC-AJK leaders condemn the actions of over one million Indian troops committing crimes against humanity with impunity in occupied Kashmir.

They called on Kashmiris worldwide to stage protest demonstrations on January 26 to bring global attention to Indian atrocities in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir territory.

Additionally, the leaders appeal to the international community to take notice of the dire situation in occupied Kashmir and play a role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
