Indus dolphins are on the list of endangered species and once abundant in Indus, they are faced with multiple threats of habitat loss, overfishing and contamination.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior the grandson of former prime minister with the same name who was hanged in 1979 made a law for the protection of the specie also known as ‘Bulhan’ in the local language, Sindhi.

His grandson, animal rights activist, in his video message, was heartbroken and sad.

He requested the perpetrator of the crime to have mercy as killing the Bulhan is like killing a part of Sindh.

The grief-stricken Junior Bhutto hoped for a kinder society terming the creature a very special one.

The specie has two rows of teeth and due to their blindness, they hold special place globally and are loved and adored.
