KABUL: Afghanistan’s interim government spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid has said research indicates that the inflation rate in the country has declined while the price of goods and products in Afghanistan are inexpensive than many countries.

He expressed these views via his Twitter account on Sunday. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Abdul Latif Nazari said that increase in exports, support for local products and the prevention of smuggling of dollars, stability of local currency are the key factors for the decrease of inflation in the country. He added that inflation rate has dropped due to increase in exports and decline in prices of fuel and food.
Economists recommended that Afghanistan should increase trade at regional and global level to improve the its economy.
Shamsul Haq Shams, an economist said that Afghanistan should focus on agricultural, increase its exports and attract investment to improve the country’s economy.
