Interior Ministry Will Constitute Special Task Force to Contain Anti-army Social Media Campaign

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has decided to constitute a special task force in order to contain vilifying campaigns against the country’s Army on social media. As per reports of local media, the special task force will comprise officers from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The Interior Ministry has also observed that negative propaganda against the country’s army was carried out through 8 TikTok accounts, 50 Facebook and 44 Twitter accounts. Media reports said that the task force will be assisted and supported by the law enforcement agencies and police. It will also make recommendations and suggestions about the use of social media.
