International Tech Experts Laud Saudi E-Litigation Initiative

ISLAMABAD: International technology experts have lauded the Saudi e-litigation initiative, hailing it as one of the pioneering works that shifted the experience of judicial services, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Justice said.

The litigation work in Saudi Arabia is now 100 percent digital, the ministry added.

Michael Dunn, Microsoft’s senior director of Business Programs Digital Justice Worldwide appreciated the ministry’s work saying. “As we were working around the globe during the Covid pandemic, the Saudi MoJ team really dug in and they wanted a solution right away.”

Ani Dave, Tech Unicorn’s Group Chief Executive Officer, also lauded the Saudi e-Litigation initiative, calling it a pioneering experiment and an advanced model that can be utilized by US courts.

What does the initiative offer?

The e-Litigation service includes all judicial procedures that can legally be implemented electronically. According to MoJ statistics, the initiative has shortened litigation time by 79 percent, improved efficiency by 43 percent, and improved the quality of judgments by 38 percent. It has also increased client satisfaction by 77 percent while ensuring all safeguards including the right to confrontation, the right to have legal representation, and openness in hearing.
