TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has presented a six-point proposal on Palestinian issue at the high-powered meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

During the United Nations Security Council on Friday, Iran’s Foreign Minister had six suggestions addressing the Palestinian question.

The proposal suggested an immediate, full, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in all Gaza areas, including Rafah and the West Bank. The proposal also demanded a complete removal of the blockade on Gaza and exchange of prisoners on humanitarian grounds.

The fourth point of the proposal asked to compel the regime for immediate, complete, and unconditional withdrawal of all military forces, weapons, and equipment from Gaza, ensuring the secure return of people to their regions and homes.

The proposal also urged an immediate implementation of a full-scale arms embargo on the Israeli regime.

The last point of the six-point proposal stresses supporting the implementation of the temporary ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the prosecution of all commanders, perpetrators, and supporters of the Israeli regime’s crimes, including genocide, targeted killings of journalists and humanitarian personnel, use of non-conventional arms like phosphorous bombs, and threats of nuclear bombings in Gaza.

The UN Security Council held a debate on the Middle East and the Palestinian question on Friday, with the Iranian Foreign Minister participating.
