CAPE TOWN: Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Friday.
The two top diplomats held the meeting on the sidelines of BRICS meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, the Saudi foreign ministry said.

The two sides agreed to follow up on phases to execute the two nations’ agreement in the Chinese-brokered agreement in Beijing. The two top diplomats said that they would work to promote global peace and security, Arab News said.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed ways to enhance further cooperation in diverse sectors. On the occasion, Prince Faisal and Amir-Abdollahian expressed their aspiration to increase consultative meetings and cooperation to serve the interest of the two nations, Arab media reported.
