TEHRAN: Iran has said that Israel is behind a failed plot to damage its defense industry and the production of missiles, state media reported on Thursday.
Iranian state TV reported that the intelligence unit of the Defense Ministry failed one of the largest sabotage schemes targeting Iran’s aviation, missile, and military industries.
It said the attempt was carried out under the supervision of the Zionist intelligence services and their agents.
The state media quoting an unnamed Iranian defense ministry official said a network of agents tried to introduce faulty parts into the production of advanced missiles.
Military attacks cannot stop Iran’s N-Program
Meanwhile, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami has said that Iran’s nuclear program cannot be stopped by military attacks or sanctions.
During an interview with Al-Jazeera, he said that Iran will comply with its obligations under the nuclear deal only after the Western powers fulfill their commitments.
In reaction to a question about the threats of the Zionist regime, he said the nuclear program of Iran cannot be stopped by targeting nuclear facilities or sanctions.
