Iran Says Ready to Share Technological Knowledge with Friendly Nations

TEHRAN:  Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that his country is ready to share scientific and technological knowledge as well as expertise with “friendly” nations, including Sri Lanka.

As per detail, the Iranian President expressed these views on Sunday in a meeting with Sri Lankan Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry in Tehran.

In a statement, Ebrahim Raisi’s office said that the Iranian president highlighted the need to initiate the joint commission for economic cooperation between Iran and Sri Lanka.

On the occasion, Sri Lanka’s Minister for Foreign Affairs said that they want to expand cooperation with Tehran in diverse fields.

Earlier, on Saturday, Sri Lankan Foreign Minister also held dialogue with Iranian FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and discussed bilateral ties. The two sides also held discussions on regional and global development, Iran’s Foreign Ministry added. Iranian Foreign Minister said that they want to hold meetings of the joint economic commission and tourism commissions. He said that the two sides should enhance cooperation between Iran and Sri Lanka in scientific, academic and cultural tourism fields.
