The footage released by the IRGC shows the Iranian forces asking the US warship to land its helicopters flying near its territorial waters otherwise they could be fired.  US forces then follow the command and landed the helicopters.

Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said that IRGC naval forces are closely monitoring American military activities in the Strait of Hormuz.

He also stressed that there is no need for trans-regional forces in the Arabian Gulf, adding that Iran and neighbouring countries are capable to secure the strategic waterway.

The official said the brave IRGC Navy will not allow this strategic region to once again become the home of enemies.

According to the US media, the ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz were part of the crisis-response force for US Naval Forces and were carrying elements of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

The incident took place at a time when the US is enhancing its military presence in the Gulf, one of the world’s most important shipping routes.
