Iranian Ambassador Congratulates Pakistan on UN Security Council Election

ISLAMABAD: Reza Amiri Moghadam, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, extends heartfelt congratulations to the government and people of Pakistan for their election to the United Nations Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

In a statement, Moghadam lauded Pakistan’s historical achievement of securing a seat on the UN Security Council, emphasizing the strong cooperation and support between Iran and Pakistan in international forums. He expressed his optimism that Pakistan’s new term on the Security Council will further contribute to global peace and stability.

“Happy to extend my sincere greetings to the government and people of Pakistan for the octave historical achievement of election as a member to the United Nations Security Council, this time for the term of 2025-2026. We hope that during this term more contribution will be made to the global peace & stability in the world,” stated Moghadam.
