TEHRAN: The Iranian Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Headquarters, Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, has criticized Washington’s alleged role in the ongoing Gaza conflict, claiming that the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) is working alongside Israeli military commanders to lead the aggression against innocent Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

Speaking at a gathering of Iranian police commanders and officials in Tehran, Major General Rashid condemned the United States for a hypocritical policy towards the Israeli brutalities in Gaza.

The Iranian Commander disclosed that information received by the Iranian Armed Forces indicates that CENTCOM commanders, as well as officials from the US Army and Navy, have joined Israeli commandants at an underground base in Tel Aviv. He maintained that the US Commanders are supervising and directing the Israeli military’s aggressive actions against the innocent Palestinian people.

“This shows that the United States’ measures run counter to its claim of restraining the war in the region as thousands of destructive bombs and missiles have already been sent to occupied Palestine, and directions plus support for ground battles are being provided to Israel,” stated Major General Rashid, highlighting hypocritic American actions in the conflict.

Iranian Commander Criticizes US and European Leader Visits to Israel

The Iranian Commander also criticized the visits of American and European leaders to Israel, interpreting them as attempts to bolster the morale of the Israeli regime. He expressed confidence in the resilience of the Palestinian nation and their allies, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other Gaza-based resistance groups, believing that they will eventually triumph over Israel and the US.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza began on October 7 when Hamas launched a multi-pronged military operation in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and Israeli settlers’ escalating violence against innocent Palestinians. The conflict has led to significant casualties and a dire humanitarian situation, with international organizations urging urgent assistance to the people affected by the violence.

Iran warned that the current situation in Gaza is highly volatile, with a risk of the conflict escalating uncontrollably if diplomatic efforts fail to halt the Israeli bombardment and prevent a ground offensive in Gaza. The Iranian government remains critical of Israeli actions, condemning atrocities and the massacre of Palestinian civilians, including women and children, at the hands of the Israeli military.
