RIYADH: President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation left Riyadh Saturday after participating in the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to the SPA, the Iranian president was seen off by the Saudi envoy to Iran, Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anazi, the Iranian envoy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ali Reza Enayati, and a representative of the Royal Protocol at King Khalid International Airport.

Earlier, the SPA reported that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met Saturday with President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran on the sidelines of the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit.

The SPA reported that during the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral ties as well as developments in the region, with a particular focus on Gaza. The Crown Prince underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) unequivocal rejection of this fierce war against the brotherly Palestinian people, emphasizing the urgent need to immediately stop military operations, the SPA added. He emphasized the significance of establishing human corridors to relieve civilian people and permitting international humanitarian organizations to accomplish their roles, the SPA reported.
Furthermore, he underlined the necessity of calling for the release of hostages and detainees and protecting the lives of innocent people.
The SPA further said that the meeting was also attended by Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed and Secretary to HRH the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed.
