BAGHDAD: Iraqi security forces have apprehended three members of the militant group Daesh or ISIS and seized explosives in various areas of Baghdad.
Baghdad Operations Command in a statement on Monday said coinciding with the launch of the security plan for Ramadan, the security forces were able to arrest three members of the outlawed organization during an intelligence-based operation.
It said that after receiving intelligence information, the security forces managed to discover explosive materials belonging to ISIS members in various areas of Baghdad. It said that security forces also found an explosive belt in the Hatra area, south of Mosul, in the north of Iraq.
